How can I order Blue Owl devices?

Please contact us at blue-owl@nemikor.com. We will work with you to finalize the details of your order before collecting payment through Square.

How much is shipping and how soon will I receive my devices?

Domestic shipping in the United States for full kits will cost about $20 and be delivered within three business days. International shipping costs will depend on the location, but will generally cost between $100 and $200. Expedited shipping is available for an additional cost.

Will my devices continue to work as Blue Owl and owlcms are updated?

All Blue Owl devices will continue to work with future versions of both owlcms and the Blue Owl software. There is no cost for new versions of either application. As new and updated Blue Owl devices become available, we will do our best to make them compatible with existing Blue Owl devices.

I want to run a local club meet, what do I need?

A Blue Owl Referee Kit, a laptop, and a TV are all you need to run your first meet. A $100 Raspberry Pi 400 or a cheap refurbished laptop is sufficient. The owlcms documentation includes information for a minimalistic setup and a small competition setup.

I want to run a regional, national, or international meet, what do I need?

For meets that require a jury, you'll need a Blue Owl Federation Kit for each platform. Otherwise, a Blue Owl Club Kit for each platform will be sufficient. For additional hardware needs and a recommended layout, see the owlcms documentation for a full competition setup.

Does Blue Owl require an Internet connection?

A typical Blue Owl and owlcms setup will include multiple computers to run the various devices and screens, so a router will be required to connect each computer to the same network. However, an Internet connection is not required, so there's no need to worry about the competition coming to a halt due to a dropped Internet connection. Is there a warranty for the devices?

Nemikor warrants that supplied hardware goods are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for one year from the date such goods are delivered to the buyer. If you have any problems with your Blue Owl devices, we'll always work with you to make things right and solve any problems that may arise.
